March Goals

At the start of every month, I like to set myself a couple of goals for myself to adhere to over the next couple weeks.  I have two main goals that come to mind:

1) Read at least 20-30minutes a day.  This is something I’ve started picking up habitually the past couple of days.  I’ve been reading this book on relating God, technology, and the metaphysical nature of the Universe that I haven’t been able to put down.  Some of the concepts covered are simply mind-blowing, I’ll save some of the book discussion for a later blog post once I finish reading it.  In the mean time, if you have any good book recommendations, get at me.

2) Meet a new person each week.  One of my favorite quotes is “you can never have too many friends.”  My exposition of what this means is taking the couple of minutes out of your day to get to know someone on a level that extends deeper beyond small-talk.   I set a similar goal for myself over the summer, and it was going awesome for a while.  Simply by keeping the goal light on the back-burner of my mind, I found myself making the extra effort to engage more and more people and met a lot of really cool people consequently.  I strayed away from it once I got caught up in a bunch of school work.  Time to put the plan back in action.
